The Department of Intellectual Property (DIP) has launched IP Fair 2011 which is also displaying His Majesty the King’s accomplishments for the public and to educate people about the intellectual rights.
Director-General of DIP Ms. Pachima Thanasanti said at the opening ceremony of the Fair at Burapha University in Chon Buri province that this event was not only to showcase HM’s works but also to serve as a platform for inventors of ideas, technologies and researches to meet investors.
The purpose of the Fair is to create business opportunities where original ideas and business aspects would be combined to form new products and to strengthen the Thai economy. The IP Fair 2011 will be officially opened tomorrow. Intellectual property of various kinds will be on display along with the DIP mobile unit to educate people on the IP rights and accept application for the new inventions or products.
Application fee will be exempted during the event. People will also get a chance to sign a well wishing book for His Majesty the King. The Fair will be held for 3 days.
