Kasikorn Bank worries about effects from global economic troubles
Kasikorn Bank expressed its concerns over the effects from troubles in the global economy on Thai economy next year, suggesting the government maintain a balanced budget.
Kasikorn Bank Chief Executive Officer and President Banthoon Lamsam said the Thai economy for the last three months this year would be like our neighbors, which had been influenced by the global economy. He stated that credit market had a tendency to shrink because of unstable economic outlook.
As for the economy next year, Mr Banthoon believed Thailand would feel the effects from countries with wobbly economies, but not as much as the impact felt over the past 10 years.
He suggested the government maintain financial balance in budget disbursement and handling of global economic volatility and political situations.
